we need to get both games this weekend/begin vs Cavs because Mavs stole two this week vs Grizz and Raptors. We have to win a game we were supposed to lose to balance this out...at least in my mind...Actually, I'm still playing against the Spurs because i dont think the Spurs will lose to the Mavs!

Yeah, if the Spurs are healthy they could give the Mavs all they can handle. But I'm thinking it's the Mavs year, no run and shoot coaching.

Well the home streak is over after this disappointing loss to the Nets. I was hoping that they would run the table at home, and put that thought in every playoff opponent that that they could not and would not win a game at the palace!!

I'm thinking we breakout the red unis vs Dallas and make them wear their whites. The way the offense has been playing lately, we need all the luck/points we can get. If our D can hold them to below 90, I still think it is a difficult win. If the game is close, then Dirk will be their in the end. Who can we count on that will not 3point shoot us out of a possible win????

DETROIT -- Mavericks center Erick Dampier knows it won't be difficult for the Detroit Pistons to remember the events of Nov. 19.

The Pistons walked into American Airlines Center on that day armed with an 8-0 record and set on reminding everyone why they were preseason picks by many to win this year's NBA title.

But the Mavs sent the Pistons to their worst loss of the season, 119-82.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Avery Johnson wanted to see something out of his Mavericks.

Yes, he wanted a victory. But beyond that, he wanted to see how his team responded after a dismal loss Thursday against Golden State that featured probably the limpest defensive effort of the season.

So when the Mavericks came back with a 15-point win at Atlanta on Saturday and held the Hawks to 83 points, they passed the first test.

The Nets loss is forgoten if we get the win here. Now for you Big Defense guys, you had 2, 75 point outings, wouldn't a couple of 100 point games be a better preamble to a Mavs meeting?

As long as the Mavs score 74 I'm cool.
