Yeah, i guess the idea, in my recap anyway, was that I was anticipating a terribly dramatic scene of frustration, sadness, and loss after the Washington game, as though we had just witnessed the apocalypse (hence the heading for my recap: revelations).

In the old testament, people rent (or rend, as Caliban sagely points out) their garments when they are lamenting something (such as a pathetic loss by the top seeded but lackadaisical Nazareth Nuggets to the worse, but more energetic and hot-shooting Bethlehem Barnstormers -- Ezekiel Ch. 21, v. 4-9)

(incidentally, that reaction was, to the credit of those on this forum, much more evident on the det news talk forum. folks here are much cooler and more reasured: an obvious sign of maturity).
