Re: IDEAS for 2007 DRAFT PICK...

We should trade a pick for a young big that is starting to come on (DMC is not an option) just so we can retain bird rights... the picks are too much of a crap shoot... why not snag someone that has been developed on someone elses nickel.

Re: IDEAS for 2007 DRAFT PICK...

but who? and if they were good, why would they give him up for another pick?

I kinda like the kid but if he comes here its over. He'll be a failure...he doesn't have Darko's youth.

This is where creative accounting comes in... first you need to deal with a tight fisted owner that will be in the tax if they re-sign their young big... give them an expiring (D.D.) and a pick
Or you can deal with a team that has excessive bigs:
Boston- Perkins
Wizards- Haywood
Dallas- Diop
S.A.- Butler, Elson
Seattle- Wilcox, Petro
Warriors- Biedrins, O'Bryant
Lakers- Kwame

Elson in interesting. A type of guy that Dumars likes....big, agile big guy.

Kwame...hell no...can we get Bynum instead?

I liked Perkins but I'm losing it for him.

I'm down with grooming Amir. He should be the answer.

I've watched the last few Sonics games, and my impression so far is that Petro doesn't know how to play, and Wilcox is a beast. This guy looks like a bargain for the 25 or 30 mill the Sonics are paying him.

I like Bynum's upside better also... but the Lakers are real high on him...
As for Kwame I think it's a good idea to see where he is today vs. his past... he had a solid year... his problems was nervous energy.... he was starting to let the game come to him and it showed.... he should be a solid pro from this point.
