Re: the latest f/agency news..Sporting News

  • Trevor Ariza is meeting with the Rockets, says the AP. The Heat have contacted Allen Iverson and Ron Artest, says the Miami Herald.
  • The Mavericks have made an offer to Marcin Gortat, and now waits for Orlando to match it, says the Dallas Morning News. The paper says that the Mavs now have the best chance to land Gortat.
  • Josh Childress does not want to return to the Hawks, says the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Perhaps a sign and trade with the Bucks including Luke Ridnour would make sense, says HoopsWorld.
  • Portland is clearly the leader for Hedo Turkoglu, says HoopsWorld.
  • Boston seems to be the leader for Rasheed Wallace.
  • Ricky Rubio told Spanish paper El Periodico that he will play out the final two years of his contract with DKV Joventut before coming to the NBA, the St Paul Pioneer Press reports.
  • The Bobcats have not had any contact with Rasheed Wallace or Allen Iverson and Sean Singletary is now an unrestricted free agent, says the Charlotte Observer.
  • David Lee's agent is making the rounds for sure. He told RealGM that he's receiving interest from a dozen teams for his client and wasn't too optimistic about returning to New York. “We have about a dozen teams still showing interest in either signing David or performing a sign-and-trade to acquire him.”
  • Celtics Blog reports that Boston has offered Rasheed Wallace a two year contract worth the full midlevel exception, $5.8 million per season. Cleveland, San Antonio and many others are still believed to be interested in Wallace.
  • Allen Iverson is interested in joining the Grizzlies, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
  • David Lee's agent told ESPN Radio in New York that he did not want to discuss his client's asking price, but that the insider Andrew Marchand said that Lee asked Memphis for five years and $60 million.

Re: the latest f/agency news..Sporting News

This is tons of good info Gman....thanks a bunch.

Another one I just saw on ESPN...Leon Powe.

Boston didn't even extend a qualifying offer, so now he's unrestricted.

Didn't he have some really good games against us during last years playoffs?
