Player Movement Tracker and Rumors 2007

RealGM is reporting that Earl Boykins will opt out of the last year of his deal in Milwaukee, leaving them with no experienced PGs who are not free agents.

Boykins option year was worth approx. $3 million. He must believe that this is the time to secure a new long term deal.

Yeah, that'll probably be next year.

I'm finishing my basement right now, so everything is kind of all over the place. I had to move my big screen tv into the living room (Which my wife wasn't too happy about at first. She wanted to spray paint it black to blend in to the decor better. Yeah, um... how about no.) and I don't even have my PS2 hooked up right now. Ever since my daughter was born, I haven't had much down time to play any EA sports. Madden is my favourite.

The big tv doesn't really bother her in the living room anymore (I bought a nice dark wood unit to help it blend in a bit better. A.K.A. appease the wife), so once the basement is finished, I want to get a new 50" plasma for down there and a PS3.

She's actually fine with it. Or should I say, she's tired of being not fine with it.

See, I have a strategy anytime I want to make a large purchase. I start hinting about it for months (or sometimes years, depending on the size, price and degree of resistance of the item) before I actually want to get it. So when the time comes that I actually do want it, she's so completely tired of saying no that she just gives up!

See, unlike the Pistons organization, I like to plan for the future.

Guys who do this have been married a LOOng time.
They also have nothing to barter with.......
In my marriage, I'd just buy the Plasma. The problem would be to get her to part with some of her money to help pay for it. We make the same salary so financially, we just meet monthly to pay common bills. If either of us wants something, we just buy it........

Report: Suns trade James Jones to Blazers | EastValleyTribune.com

Quote:
Suns will ship forward James Jones to the Blazers – a deal that will net Phoenix future considerations.

Jones has one guaranteed year left on a contract that pays him $2.9 million and a player option of $3.15 million for the 2008-09 season. With the Suns over the threshold, that $3 million would have been subject to the NBA’s dollar-for-dollar luxury tax penalty.

Jones averaged 6.7 points in 76 games last season (seven starts), shooting a disappointing 36.8 percent from the field. He started six of Phoenix’s 11 playoff games, playing 15.5 minutes per game and averaging 5.0 points and 1.4 rebounds.
