Maybe he's not really a Yankees fan, but he is signalling to the Knicks that he wants to play there... because of the secret clause in his Nike contract that would pay him more and the monstrous endorsements he would get in NY. Remember that his goal is become a billionaire.

I thought his goal was to bring championship to Cleveland?

Of course his becoming a billionaire could be a very good thing for needy people, that he may chose to help financially. Then he may chose not to help anyone, so I guess we will have to wait and see what happens, but I wouldn't suggest holding our breaths on this one.
