Partially. I don't think we, as Pistons fans, are OK with team self-destructing in the playoffs. We want to be in the finals.

Thing was that the Pistons were the favorite team in the last 2 East Finals and lost. You don't get too many points for that.

Have to do better.

It must be true. It's in Wikipedia:

Quote:
Hack-a-Shaq is the name commonly ascribed to a basketball defensive strategy initially instituted in the National Basketball Association (NBA) by former Dallas Mavericks coach Don Nelson to hinder the scoring ability of the Chicago Bulls. However, it ultimately became more well-known for its application against center Shaquille O'Neal and the Los Angeles Lakers, the team for which O'Neal played at the time. The strategy, which became somewhat controversial, consisted of intentionally committing a personal foul against O'Neal every time the Lakers/Heat took possession of the basketball over a certain period of time.

I thought that Flip was ranked kind of high, but I guess if you look at overall success he's above many others. What I mean by that is what we (Pistons fans) see as a failure many other teams/fans would love to have achieved.
Do these rankings mean that since Mike Brown or Rick Adelman are ranked 4 and 5 spots higher than Flip, the Pistons would have advanced with either of them at the helm into the finals and possibly beat the Avery led Mavs in 2006 and then gone 7 again with Pops Spurs in 2007??

A predictable quote from you. The solution to your monomania about Flip is associated with a particular form of forum virus.

Your perceptions might be clouded by the size of the needle being used for the injection. Those who have no time to waste, usually have enough experience to fathom on what remains out of sight...how about a little concentration on antibodies.

The first six are dead-on. Flip should be and (depending on how the writers feel about the summer session) is within my top ten.

Monomania is still preferable to Darko-Mania!

Oh please stop. You're killing me with science.

Could you, please, elaborate a bit more on this? The monomania that you are mentioning (or partial insanity), as it exists in this reality, has been permanently attached to the subculture of this forum. In terms of general public apprehension, it could appear quite obscure or esoteric. At the same token, the difference between the passion that we have about the team and monomania, as you may see it, can be extremely subtle and very difficult to recognize.
Now, speaking about virus - virus cannot reproduce on its own. It can only replicate itself by infecting a host cell. It also does not respond to the changes in the environment.

Regarding the second half of your post. One can clearly notice the presence of prominent delusions or auditory hallucinations in the context of a relative preservation of cognitive functioning and affect. I have to admit that it is all organized around a coherent theme that is prevalent. The issue at hand is that those affected may have a superior and patronizing manner and either a stilted, formal quality or extreme intensity in interpersonal interactions.
