NBA Milk Carton Player Tracker

Where is Dee Brown (Illinois, draft year 2006) Not on Utah's roster.
Where is Pops-Mensah Bonsu? (George Washington University, undrafted 2006) Not on Dallas' roster. I really liked these two guys and it looks like it was just one year for them.

Anyway post to this thread is if you are wondering where a player ended up or if you know where a NBA milk carton guy is. I bet there are quite a few rookies that didn't make the sophmore cut.

Dee Brown is playing in Istanbul, Turkey for Team Galatasaray Cafe Crown.

// The Official Website of Dee Brown //

(Turkey has an awful lot of basketball teams. This team said they signed Dee Brown because they needed a pure point guard. Hmmmm. Not really. Dee is really a shooting guard playing the point because he is undersized. He's more of a really fast (and reckless at times) combo guard. Sorry, Galatasaray Cafe, but maybe you'll like him anyway. He's a fan magnet.)

Wow, thanks Mikhail. I'm glad he's still playing too. I was so thrilled when the Mavs signed him last year, but of course we didn't get to see much of his game. He was a fan favorite too in Dallas I remember. I loved watching him play in the NCAA tournament. Well, maybe he'll make his way back. I wonder how many of these players that go to play in Europe make it back into the NBA.

This is a little off topic, but I wonder why teams don't send players like this to the D-League instead of just taking on more rookies. Maybe they are always looking for the next big thing. I've been looking through my NBA season materials at all the team rosters and I can't believe how many teams have new rookies and sophmores. Why not keep their old rookies and develop them? Just a thought.

Bubble players are a dime a dozen. Usually there is a deficiency in their game. Guys get a season under a watchful eye who has seen dozens of hopefuls come and go. Unless they show great potential, its cheaper for a team to let someone else develop them. A D-leaguer takes up some salary but also a roster spot.

Some do return like Mo Evans and Anthony Parker.

Not a good story for Bison Dele. Interesting choices he made.

I think Buddah was trying to be funny, but it really was quite a tragic story.

That was an interesting story. I can understand his desire to retire and see the world.

The Cain and Abel comparison with his brother was very sad.
