All that shooting that Hughes worked on in the off-season - he can't throw the ball in the ocean. Boobie - well, he's just that, boobie. They have no offensive flow. Their bread and butter play is LBJ dribbling out the clock then launching from about 20 ft. If he misses - Z and Gooden there to clean it up. They need to get Bron some help, or this train goes nowhere fast. They barely beat Milwaukee after losing to Philly.
Don't worry. They will still beat us.

I noticed that Gibson is still shooting > 50% from deep.

That makes him and Kapono as 2 of the best in the league.

So he wasn't just getting lucky against us last year.

I was going to say "let them play the Pistons once or twice and see if they get well".

You must be talking about 2007-08 Bulls.

I say if Pistons are healthy, rested, and their minds are in the game, neither of those teams has a chance in a 7-game series.

Lakers led basically all the way in whipping the Bulls. Wallace disappeared out of the locker room on the way to sidelines before the game and never did show up.

2 points 2 blocks and 4 assists and 5 boards in 28 minutes

Bynum had

12 points 4 blocks 3 assists and 10 boards in 40 minutes. The 40 minutes is a career high for him.

Bynum was looking good.

In fact, the Lakers were very team-like tonight. Farmar, Odom, Walton, Vujacic, Fisher... all contributing. It wasn't just the Kobe show.

Credit to Phil Jackson. Bulls are just not good.

That is what happens when you develop the young guys, like Bynum, Farmar, Vujacic. Vujacic was just terrible his first couple of years and even last year he wasn't that good, but Jackson has continued to play him and he has become a good bench guard with a very nice shot and he is still only 24.

Re: 2007-08 general league thread (non-Pistons)

The parade to the FT line continued tonight for DWade, as he went 20-22 (?!?!?!?!?!) at the line against Atlanta, and Miami shot 42-49 from the line as Shaq somehow went 8-12...but the Heat lost in OT. Atlanta went 32-38 from the line, so it looks like the refs were incredibly whistle-happy on both ends in what must have been an unwatchable game. Tough break for the already hapless Heat as Zo goes down with a torn tendon in his knee; that might be a career ender for him.

Meanwhile, the Cavs continue to blow as the Knicks responded to getting called out by Isiah by pounding Cleveland 108-90.
