Ten teams with the best records so far for December

Trail Blazers 12-1
Celtics 11-1 (only lost to the Pistons)
Pistons 13-2
Lakers 9-3
Hawks 9-3 (2 of the losses to the Pistons)
Nuggets 8-4
Hornets 8-4 (one loss to the Pistons)
Suns 9-5
Warriors 9-6 (one loss to the Pistons)
Mavs 8-6 (lost their last 2)

I guess since Rivers was the EC coach of the month for November, he could get the nod again for December, but Flipper could get it for beating the C's especially if the Pistons beat the Pacers and Bucs to end the year. Nate McMillan will win for the west even if they lose their remainig two games.

One other note, NBA schedlulers had the Pistons playing 17 games in December where the Spurs only played 12...which means that Parker and Duncan had more time to heal from their injuries...(Spurs are 6-5 for December)

Another surprise team of late has been Philly, which is 8-6 in December, but 8-3 in their last 11 after losing their first 3 games of the month. That isn't likely to last as they're now in a 6 game Western Conference road trip, though they did start off well tonight by beating the (admittedly hapless and injury-riddled) Kings.

Philly actually has some talent. Dre miller, Iggy, Sammy D, Big Tough RegE, Lil Lou Williams, Willie G......They just aren't good enough to bring it, night in - night out.

Celtics keep it going out West with a win in Utah. Apparently Pierce followed a 0 point first half with 24 in the second...he drove around a statue-like Ronnie Brewer to give Boston the lead in the last minute, and after Utah missed a 3 on the next possession, it was pretty much over.

That's been Utah's achilles heel, besides their interior D. They always get lit up by the opposing SG/SF, Kobe last night, PP tonight. I don't understand how Sloan made no adjustment. Pierce just kept doing the same move over and over again. It was comical after awhile.

Ray Allen hit a sick three though. Probably the play of the game.

Actually Memo's crazy 3 off the glass a few minutes earlier was an even more difficult shot, but the 3 by Ray was definitely the big shot for Boston.

I missed that. I turned it off when BOS went up 8 or so, came back when it was tied at 90 something, and PP was driving to the basket which was exactly what he was doing when i turned it off LOL

edited to add;
Kirelinko hurt his shoulder against LAL i think.

We got to hope that the LA Kobes can slow down the Boston express and send them back home with year ending loss.

Do we really care? Let Boston win, Pistons need to stay under radar.
