Okur had 20 tonight. Maybe that will get him going. He has been having an awful year.

Has anyone noticed how poorly the Spurs are playing on the road? I know it`s a long season, however, currently they are under .500 on the road (5-6).

Tim Duncan was a DNP in a few of those losses, still this is not typical of Spurs basketball. I am not saying they are doomed because of the road record, but it is something to keep an eye on going forward.

Tonight they face the Nuggets, a very tough team in Denver.

They haven't been healthy for the most of the season. Ginobili is still out. And they are playing in a tougher conference. I would wait until the playoffs to make a call on that team.

Too many minutes for starters making Scott nervous

Thursday, Jan 3, 2008 6:32 am EST

New Orleans Hornets coach Byron Scott is becoming more concerned about the extended minutes Chris Paul, David West and Tyson Chandler have had to play. Scott said he has to keep them on the court in order to win games because of his ineffective bench.
"The last thing I want to do is play those guys the type of minutes they're playing right now," Scott said. "I'm getting more nervous now that our guys aren't going to be fresh in March and April with the minutes they're playing right now."

Re: 2007-08 general league thread (non-Pistons)

King James exploded for 24 consecutive points in the 4th qtr this afternoon (sound familiar?) to help the Cavs erase a 20 point deficit and defeat the Raptors 93-90.

He finshed with 39-11-8 and in the post game comments he indicated that a couple of Toronto hecklers ticked him off. (They were a couple of cuties that were cousins of Chris Bosh).

Of course we had to hear the ultimate homers Fred McLeod and Austin Carr drape all type of praise on the James throughout that 4th qtr.

The Cavs game was on TV here and I stopped watching at the end of the third thinking Toronto had it all sewed up.

Oops.

Probably would have made me to sick to watch anyway.
