Another game tonight where the refs give the nod in the end to the "elite" team and the struggling team gets rooked. In this case the Lakers survive a 14-0 run by the Grizzlies in the 4th and with a one point lead and 7 seconds left the refs swallow their whistle as Kyle Lowry drives to the hoop and is fouled by Kwame Brown, but the refs let it roll as the basket is missed and last second 3 ball attempt by the Grizz is also long. Even the Laker announcers admit that a foul should have been called, but their not going to complain as the Lakers get their sixth straight and along with the Mavs are the only team perfect for 2008.

Lakers won the game, but it looks like they lost Bynum to some kind of knee injury. X-Rays are negative, and MRI is scheduled.

FOX Sports on MSN - NBA - Bynum out 8 weeks with injured knee

MRI tests and an examination Monday by team physician Dr. Steve Lombardo revealed Bynum had injured his kneecap and suffered a bone bruise. Bynum is expected to make a full recovery, the Lakers said in a press release.

Lakers play us in the Palace at the end of the month. Clearly they won't have Bynum.

Bobcats continue to impress... after losing a heartbreaker to the Pistons Saturday, they squeak out a high scoring affair over the Nuggets 119-116

The Nuggets hold future allstar Nazr Mohammad to only 10 points and five boards, as guys we should of or could have had instead of Tay, ,>>G. Wallace and C-Mello exchange plesantries to the tune of 40 and 35 points respectfully.

I hope that we get a chance to see Stuckey go up against Crittenton. Javaris has starting getting minutes on a regular basis.

We could have drafted him rather than Stuckey since we picked ahead of the Lakers.

He is a lot better shooter and better passer than Stuckey. He is also faster than Stuckey.

I think Joe wanted a combo guard so he took Stuckey. Crittenton is too small to play the #2.

January has not been kind to the C's and the Pistons. The Celtics lose a home and home back to back series to the Wizards. The Wizards finish the game on a 25-6 run and all of a sudden the Celtics are human and have six losses.

Lost 3 of last 4 since beating us and the losses were not to really good teams.

Looks like that series last Saturday took a lot out of both teams...they are 1-3 and we are 2-2 since. Both teams 4-3 in 2008...and they have the hot Blazers coming up on Wednesday..

Tell you what, if the Blazers continue playing like they currently are, they could be lots of trouble for any team in the west.
