Discuss: Celtics' balanced scoring at Detroit Pistons Fan Community - PistonsForum.com

This team looks awfully good on paper. But if one of their Big 3 go down, could be trouble. Right ...

Celtics' balanced scoring

This team looks awfully good on paper. But if one of their Big 3 go down, could be trouble. Right now, they're scoring 67 points between them. Their scoring averages are virtually the same.

They're outscoring opponents, on average, by 16 points a game.

Re: Celtics' balanced scoring

I agree that Boston looks very good so far. I honestly didn't expect them to work together as well as they have this early in the season.

I would be concerned about Ray Allen's ankles through the rest of the season. He sat out about 1/3 of his games with the Sonics last year, and also underwent ankle surgery.

Boston is playing well. Besides playing well together they also get the whistles because of their names. The health is their main worry. But if they can stay healthy they should take the 1st in the east the way they are playing.

I agree with everyone else on the Celtics, however, even if the "Boston 3 Party" stays healthy they will need some production from their role players.

Rondo, Perkins, and House will need to be huge for the Celtics to go far in the post season.

Maybe we should have someone check and make sure that Arnie (Kander) is not moonlighting with them.

It seems like some?? are secretly hoping that one of the big 3 or maybe one of the key contributors goes down for awhile...Won't make any difference...the supporting cast will only get better and they will still be in the ECF. We just have to be there to end the dream teams' dream....

I think they'd be fine if they lost 1 guy for a period of time (not the playoffs though). Any 2 of those big 3 is still a very tough tandem.

December 19th will be VERY interesting. If we don't have a solid showing in our first couple matchups, does Joe try to go for a big move (ie Kobe)?

A normal game will look huge because those extra guys need to suck. With the big 3 being so effective, the Rondos and Houses merely have to stick a fork in you after the main guys did all the cooking.

Re: Celtics' balanced scoring

losing one of the three is a risk the celtics team has taken. which risk is better calculated, losing one of the big three? or losing a superstar like Wade, King or Cobe? I still see them in the ECF, we need to be ready for them. They are used to playing heavy minutes. Our starters are not.

You are in good company.

So can Stern, The Networks, ESPN, All of MA and the millions of Celtics fans that have been in hiding the last few years.

I hear even the guy from French Lick has had his maid dust off his old trophies in anticipation.
