He is not taking any chances with his health......too much money at stake..i hope he get less next year for not taking 57 million dollars... and gordon (turned down supposed 50 million)

I have actually never understand: in a contract year players start talking much about security ( read: I need fat and lenghty contract), so GM offers what demanded, but player turns it down. Maybe players think that if 50 mil was offered, then I can get even 60...

Well, Ben turned down whatever Joe offered him 48 or 50 mil and where did it get him? Surely he got paid, but it doesn't look like he's happy.

Yeah right like Ben would have been so much happier with Flip as his coach for God knows how long. Maybe he didn't know what he was getting with the Bulls, but he sure knew what he was gonna get here.

It's too bad about Deng. I really enjoy watching him play.

I'd say that he'll be able to find some happiness in the extra 12 million during the 40 years of his life after he's finished entertaining the public with a children's game.

Watching Scottie Pippen beg and plead for a coaching job to stay out of bankruptcy is kind of pathetic and sad. I'm wondering if I'll be able to feel the same way after Shaq's blown the profits from the most lucrative athletic career in the history of the human race.

Well, I dislike Shaq's game and public persona more than Pip's, too.
