Did you have that same operation as Larry Brown?

Actually no I did not

I just had had 6 operations on my right ankle due to it being crushed in a snowmobile accident up in Lake Tahoe.

The night of the game my leg got infected big time.

They tried to drain it with drugs. It did not work.

I needed a 7th operation to slice my shin open at least 4" worth so they could clean out all the puss.

They scheduled my operation for the last one that day. When they sliced my leg open the puss flew out and went all over the operating room. After the operation they had to totally sterilize the entire operating room.

When they removed the bandage the next day in my hospital room to check on the wound, even though I was heavily sedated with pain killer the pain was excruciating as they tore the bandage away from raw open wound which it had become stuck to by the coagulated blood.

All in all not a very pleasant experience.

I think we won that game, but I don't recall.

That was over 25 years ago and fortunately that leg has held up fine and I have not needed another operation so far on it.

So, the Suns are going to play outside? That's neat.

Nice change of subject. It was reminding me of a Lee Running Thread injury post.

Re: Suns to Play Outdoors

I had promised myself back in February that I would go to this game, but when I thought about it last month, only the cheap (cloud seats) were left, plus I thought it would be 85 degrees, but it's only 72 tonight....

Wind is down at only 7 mph, so we won't see any of balls blowing over the basket or Iverson getting knocked down by the Santa Ana winds....TNT broadcasting live now

Terry Porter in charge
