Stern is an old fossil and needs to be retired.

They would have to be their own division, which would be really unfair. They'd be the weakest of all the teams and they would produce a division winner that would automatically get into the playoffs.

Maybe they should have Euroleague champion play NBA champion in the best-of-3 series? The problem here is that NBA teams play so many more games than European teams, that it leaves virtually no time for any international team competitions for the NBA teams. Soccer teams play 30-40 game regular season leaving time for the international team competition. Than the team that wins Champions league plays winner of the South American club Champions cup winner. But it would be way too many games to play for the NBA teams, unless it happens during the pre-season camp. And that will dilute the level of play of the NBA rep.
