His name is Robert Swift. He is not an NBA player. He was drafted by the Sonics, but destroyed both of his knees before he really ever played. He has been rehabbing and "just about to come back" for about 2 years now. I don't know of any drug/ alcohol problems... just bad knees.
Pre knee injury, he was playing Darko-like minutes and showing Darko-like flashes of brilliance.
16 games played, 4.5 minutes average (mostly in
garbage time), 0.9 points, 0.4 rebounds.
Also Darko-like was how he injured his knee. after playing less than one minute of
garbage time during a pre-season game, Swift collided with another Sonics player and destroyed his ACL.
