Ersan Ilyasova is a Milwaukee Bucks player and of course, Bargnani is "The Magician", the #1 pick for Toronto last draft.

I guess Darko is no longer considered young.

That must be it, because the only logically possible alternative is that he is no longer considered European.

Or that he is no longer considered good?

I think this is true. Maybe soon some other teams will follow Toronto's way.
If NBA ref's would call traveling, Euro's would gain even more worth since there are tons of NBA players who got hoops or strength but absolutely no basic capabilities. Even Sheed is traveling at times and he's considered to be talented. Everyone can get past a defender when running like a rugby player.

The problem is that I do not think NBA clubs have put a lot of emphasis on European scouting. Toronto has made a lot of smart moves in the last year in this regard. It is hard to say they do not have the best European scouting staff in the NBA.

I believe they have two more European draft picks playing at home to develop.

I posted an interview from ESPN with Jerry Colangelo, the father of Raptors (and former Suns) GM Bryan Colangelo. He talks about the NBA moving away from the star model and more towards a team oriented one.
