Who should we draft? Should we draft the best person available, or a point gaurd, or a center. I'm leaning towards getting a center thats big.

The players we mostly need is a PG, and a C. Should we go for a PG in the draft and a center in the offseason, or should we get a C in the draft and a PG in the offseason?

I would be interested in Draft chat. Maybe some of you guys can fill me in on some of these cats. Last year was the first year in a while I didn't follow a couple of college teams, so I'm kinda outta the loop.

Re: NBA Draft ~ June 28th, 7pm ESPN

Well, I dont look for Spurs to do anything. According to Mike Monroe SA Exp News:

Don't expect the Spurs to present a package deal. They don't even have a first-round pick to include in such a package. It went to the New York Knicks, part of the 2005 trade that brought Nazr Mohammed to San Antonio in exchange for Malik Rose.
The Spurs have the 59th selection in the two-round draft, the next-to-last pick in the second round.

I think Spurs choice for Toronto's Matt Bonner and Eric Williams was to make a matchup for the West Conference where perimeter oriented power forwards (like Dirk, Diaw and Lamar Odom)have become the norm. I bet a lot of West teams will be shopping for perimeter power.
