Thanks Slippy! lol. If only I could resurrect and use that team in the Advanced League. Now that would be awesome!

Question from the quick.

Can you go back in time and stuff? Like, to go hang out in ancient Egypt or anything like that?

Re: Who Mowed Down MotownPride??

Eh, Darth don't play scared. I'll die with my head held high if that's what ka dictates. Here is what I have:

Based on a series of pm's I had with Roscoe the other day(trying to glean more insight into his motives) I am reluctant to cast a vote against him when there are other options. He MAY be innocent.

However, I found some things that made me highly suspicious of Webz.

Laimbeer in wnba playoffs thread : webz #77 (word
playoffs in title)

Notice the words Laimbeer AND playoffs. Also notice
players,WNBA and Shock.

Laimbeer being the Piston word and the others are
possible general basketball words. Here is the
suspicious post:

Re: Laimbeer in WNBA Playoffs
Congrats to Bill and the Shock.

I'm not sure it would be fair on Laimbeer to bring him
straight into the head coach position. Imagine the
pressure he would face. I think if it was going to
happen he should have a season as an assistant at
least to get used to to everything, then if there was
a position open, look at giving him the reigns.
-----------------------------------------------------------

So I looked at his posts since the murders began. First he accused Jammer and voted to hang him. Then Aurora, then jumped on the hang Darth bandwagon.

Always apologetic and always in the shadows.

This guy is smart enough to pull this whole thing off.
I know. I saw the basketball team he drafted!

Webz...I think maybe you did it.

I'm at work. Can anyone cross reference the murder words to see if he could have done the other murders, or if his partner (perhaps hanged) could have done so.

I'm only going with the evidence. I wish I had more time to check everything.

--------------------------------------------------------

And by the way folks, if I were a murderer, my partner must still be alive (since I voted to hang the dead guys), so don't you think I would have my partner posting these theories???? Of course I would. But I ma doing it because I don't have a partner. I'm innocent.

If i'm not mistaken, detteam also has several posts within the timeframe (especially on 9.10.06) and in the "laimbeer in WNBA playoffs" thread that use the word "Laimbeer" (and not just in the thread title) as well as any number of other words that could be the generic basketball words.

I was also trying to brainstorm other possible Pistons words that include the letters "L" "E" and "A". "Maxiell" came to mind, but then there's no posts that use that word -- if I used the search function correctly -- within the murder time frame.

Anybody out there feel like trying to help widen the list of possible Pistons key words? Laimbeer fits, as Darth said, but there could be others we haven't thought of.

Some others I've thought of without even checking to see whether they've even been used in any posts

Alex (as in Acker)
Salley (as in John)
Palace

anybody else?

You can't use this line

It's automatically quoted from the thread title.

I asked slippy that question earlier today, but maybe I misinterpreted his response.

If you are correct, than that clears webz because Laimbeer is in the post but no other bball word is unless you use "assistant" and that seems a far stretch.

I thought of "Palace" but nothing came up in my searches. "Alex" is good, but awfully short. The murderers would run out of clues after 4 killings.

Carlisle???? Can someone check that out?

carlisle doesn't come up after september 7...now i understand better the fun of vigilantism -- actually trying to sift through evidence and be logical takes a lot of darn work!

Sounds very Quantum Leap 'ish! I'll have to check it out and get back to you. Perhaps thats what was in that Orientation booklet I used as scrap paper to work on my fantasy draft strategies. Crap!

Ok...who used it?

Remember...the killers don't even have to use that word every time.

They can switch off between the 3 words. It's possible it was never used. But did one of us use it? That's possible evidence for a past murder (TFD's, I think...not sure who was killed during that time frame).
