Money notes are made mostly from a special blend of cotton and linen. In 1932, when a shortage of cash occurred somewhere in the US, notes were made out of another material for a brief period. Name that material.

There's some weird trivia going on in this thread! Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Old TV and currency material are not areas of expertise for me, but old movies are, so I just wanted to chime in about Dre's guess. The most famous movie featuring the then "Dead End Kids" was Angels With Dirty Faces, from 1938, where they all looked up to the local gangster hero played by James Cagney.
