Super seems to appreciate his work. Do you two guys work together?
I am not familiar with too many Canadian artists.
Anyhow, tell Victor he did a nice job on the Wings forum. |
Oh man, at work, Vector and I are tight.
Vector is like the Bryan Adams of Canadian graphic design.
Seriously though, Vector is
this.. although they are incorrect when they say the human eye sees as "raster" like a computer (pixels), the human eyes see in "
continuous tone" like a traditonal photograph (film).
When you look at something you see it from it's origional color to the shadows to the highlights, you're brain doesn't break it down into pixels of different colors to make up the colors you see.
There is a printer now called a stochastic screen printer that rotates the position of the placement of the color dots, to avoid the typical pattern of dots that printers make, that allow you to see the "pixels". Therefore giving the illusion of "continuous tone". It is used in fine art prints and whatnot. There is one printer in my town that has one, it is about the size of a sofa and it costs $10 per square foot to print. The color is archival, and water resistant.
And most of my artwork at
www.superstarov.com is vector. (shameless plug for employment)
Anyway how about that Roscoe? Swell of him to set this up for us huh?
