From the Free Press:

"He's never going to make it in the NHL as a defensive player," coach Mike Babcock said. "He's going to play because he's got skill, but he can't be a liability."

This kid has been on my "watch" list since he came to the team. If he doesn't make the team this year, he gets released, because they cannot send him to the minors again.

I think he has a ton of upside, and has always been known as an offensive dazzler. Hopefully he can learn to play some decent defense and stick with the team.
