Markov: MCL Sprain

From the Detroit News:

The Red Wings won the exhibition game Friday but lost a key player in the process.

Jason Williams scored with 7.3 seconds left in overtime to give the Wings a 5-4 victory over Tampa Bay.
The Wings won their first game of the exhibition season (1-1-1).

But they lost defenseman Danny Markov to a slight MCL strain in his knee in the first period.

Hopefully, this isn't serious... AT ALL.

This guy should be a big impact player for the Wings, and give them a badly needed physical defensemen. Something they definately needed last year after Fischer had his situation, and Kronwall went down.

If Markov and Kronwall can be in the top 4... that would be a heck of a 1 - 2 punch... or a 1 -2 crunch (alright, that was just stupid).

Re: Markov: MCL Sprain

I'm upset about John LeClair taking out Yvegeny Malken.

A slight MCL strain doesn't sound so bad. It sounds better than LOWER BODY INJURY.

I was hoping no one was paying attention to that kid.

Re: Markov: MCL Sprain

Maybe to prove what everyone should already know, I will only draft Canadians. Then I will have the best team.
