Nashville for real?

I'm not sure I could handle a Nashville / Buffalo Stanley Cup Finals.

Buffalo is a fun team to watch. I haven't seen much of Nashville.

Anaheim, San Jose, Dallas, Detroit and Nashville all look good from the West.

Atlanta and Buffalo are the class of the East right now with a bunch of other teams that could make some noise if they can get in the playoffs.

Man, what a great game between the Canadiens and Penguins tonight. It had a bit of everything! Great passes, nice goals, hard hits, end to end plays, awesome saves, plenty of scoring, OT and a shootout. What more can you ask for? (Well, maybe 2 more shootout goals from the Habs would have been nice.)

THAT is what hockey is all about. The commentators said that the league should package this game up and send it out to the entire world to market the game.

Yeah, Crosby 3 assists on the power play. Pretty neat.

Hey, Peter Forsberg is on the block. As Kris Draper said on the radio this morning, when Forsberg is healthy, he's one of the best forwards in the game.

I wonder who will make a move for him?

Per the L.A. Times:

"
The Anaheim Ducks are one of several teams that have contacted the Philadelphia Flyers to express interest should the Flyers – and Forsberg, who has a no trade clause – decide to deal.
Even though Forsberg is struggling with health issues, the San Jose Sharks, Nashville Predators, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings and Atlanta Thrashers are also believed to be interested"

The Nashville Predators have won the Peter Forsberg sweepstakes. The intense trade winds surrounding the veteran centreman were abutted on Thursday, when Forsberg was dealt prior to the Flyers' game against the Toronto Maple Leafs for promising youngsters Scottie Upshall, Ryan Parent and a first- and a third-round draft pick.

Re: NHL 2006/2007 Season Talk (Non Wings)

I just caught the highlights from tonights Sens/Sabres game. Wow, what a game.

Drury got blindsided by Chris Neil and it sparked an all out brawl. All 12 players on the ice got into it for 5 minutes, including the goalies who squared off against each other. Then, once he was done man handling Biron, Sens goalie Ray Emery took on Buffalo tough guy Andrew Peters... and was LAUGHING! I've seen goalies fight before, but I've NEVER seen the goalie fight another goalie and THEN a position player, let alone a tough guy.

Had the coaches not been seperated by 2 plexiglass walls, they'd have been in there as well.
