Best start in Franchise History!!!

The Wings are 11-1! That is the best start in franchise history.

Manny Legace now holds the record for most wins in October by any NHL goaltender.

And Mike Babcock has the best record for any coach starting his first season with a new team.

Super

A lot to be excited about again in Hockeytown. Only problem is, Nashville is playing well, too. Only 23 goals in 12 games surrendered by the Wings. I guess the coaching change was a good one, huh?

Great "Slap Shot" quote btw. Here's another: Newman to the three freaks: "What are you guys doing?" Freaks: "Putting on the foil, coach. Every game. Want some?"

That's unbelievable! I'll bet everyone is really excited. I remember Legace from when I was a huge Detroit Viper fan! He was on the Kalamazoo K-Wings and was really good. It's nice to see him doing so well.

GO WINGS!

I always like Manny. I felt that it was his "legacy" to be the Wings goaltender.

He's more Mike Vernon than Tim Chevaldae.

I'm also very happy that the Red Wings are playing so well. I was worried about Datsyuk.

I think Zetterberg is my favorite young Wing. I also like the coach. He sounds really smart.
