Looks like the first game is not until Saturday, so the more time, the merrier. Hopefully Penguins get rusty and Wings can jump on them as well.

I can't see the Pens keeping up in this series. There's no way they get through the D the Wings put up. This will be like when the Islanders schooled the Oilers in '83. Look out next year though.

It will be a test for both teams. Pittsburgh has very gifted offense and they are pretty deep up front. Their youth is their friend and their foe at the same time. They haven't had any adversity this playoff season and they sure will have their hands full with Wings. How they react will most likely define how this series will play out.

Crosby is a league favorite, can we touch/breathe on him ?
Wings - Quins is the league dream match-up.
It only took Crosby 3 years to get to the finals. It took Gresky 4.

Re: 2008 Red Wings Playoffs

when I looked for some stats I was totally surprised, how bad pens have been in faceoffs - that is definitely at wings advantage. Dominating in faceoffs was on of reasons why wings dominated vs. dallas.

I hear Turco's head is still swimming from all the Wings cross crease passes.

Re: 2008 Red Wings Playoffs

Interesting looking book. Not sure I'd pay $40 for it though. Actually, I know I wouldn't pay $40 for it.
