Looks like there are several Safties out there that we could grab. Perhaps even a Charles Woodson move to FS?
Plus, the way our LB's have been dropping to injury, I'd LOVE to be able to add one of the top names as well. But they might come at too high a price.
Should be an exciting free agent period! And I can't wait to see which WR we pick at #9!

I was reading up on Jimmy Williams, a 6'2" 217 lb CB. They say he is a shut down CB. But wonder if he should be a FS. Then they say he is lousey at zone. Solid tackler with good stats. I would love to get a big CB, but at 9 ?

I've heard people (sorry, I can't remember exactly where I read it, but I have seen it a few different places on the net) saying that he's a bit of a "head case"?

Now they are pushing Cromartie, a 6'3" 210 corner. He lost a year to a bad ACL but he was already great. I think this is our guy. Millen loves guys that have come back from injuries.

Man, I really want Huff, but its looking more and more likely that he'll be gone by 9. I think the Raiders might grab him if he's still there for them.

It looks like all we'll get for Joey is a 6th rd pick in 07 from Miami.
F' - that has to be a cold slap in the face to the entire Lions org.
All we can get for a 4 year starter is a 6th rounder? What a waste!

Yup. Its a good thing Millen isn't an investment banker. Although, the way Ford is losing money, it looks like Millen has been pulling double duties. To go from a #2 overall pick to a 7th rounder in only 4 years isn't a very good return on your investment. That's a downgrade of about 200 spots, not to mention the millions of dollars wasted his develpment (or one might argue regression) and salary.
Heck, screw the 5 yr extensions, lets just get it over with all at once. I think WCF should make Millen a Lion for life.

Of course you understand, they don't have to give up anything, just wait til he is released. We save $4 mil.

Or we could pay him, then force the trade. For better picks. Dolphins would be with out a QB.
