The 2006 NBA Playoff pool is $10 million and will be distributed to teams in the following manner:

By my quick math, if the Pistons should run all of the way to a title, that would earn them $2,932,006 of the playoff pool.

I would assume that the distribution is not even amongst the players.

However, if it was, each man would walk away with $195,467.07 when it is all said and done.

If they play the maximum of 28 playoff games, that would be $6,980.97 per game.

So we have locked up best record, best conf. record and 1st rd or $690k.
Still small potatoes but for bench guys, they got some lunch money.

I seem to recall that the players vote on playoff shares - how much each individual gets. I don't know if they do that after each series on once at the end.

That would be an interesting meeting to hear over the transom.
