Its hard to believe we are talking the LA Clippers a series away from the WCF. Wow! It very well could happen.
The Clips match up well against the Suns. Kaman and EB should dominate inside, the veteran leadership of Sam Cassell and Mobley`s deadeye shooting will pose problems for the Suns poor defense.
Looking back I picked the Clips and Suns to make it to the semis, with the Suns advancing in 6. I kinda wish I could change my picks...
I`m sticking with my story, Suns in 6!!!!!!

I'm going to say Clips in 6, mostly for novelty and partly because the Suns might have spent themselves against the Lakers.

After the Lakers lost too the Suns the LA crowd will be pumped to try to make the suns lose.

Ben Gordon in the TNT studio at halftime...good lord, this guy blows on camera. Zero charisma, nothing to say.

yah he's terrible. on a sidenote this was a fantastic game to watch. in the end though the clips got tricked into playing phoenix's style and it cost them the game.
brand is ridiculous ... 18/22 shooting? good lord

Too bad it was on too late for me to watch the whole thing. Dunleavy's going to have to adjust, there's no way the Clips (or anyone else, I think) can beat Phoenix in a 7 game series if they consistently play into the run-n-gun style.
Time for my broken record again - Brand is the MVP.

Although Elton was -7 in the game and Nash was +12.
Maybe Nash's no D approach works.

I think everyone is sleeping on this series. Must not be enough Kobe drama. Either of these teams is good enough to upset Dallas or San Antonio in 7.

True. However, I have a gut feeling the Mav`s are on a mission to at least get to the Finals. A mission they will finally accomplish.
Winning the whole thing is another matter.

OMG! Really exciting finish tonight, as the Suns rallied on a 10-0 run late in the 4th with the Clips missing 11 in a row. Phoenix got within 1 at one point, but then with less than a minute left and the Clips up 3, SamIAm hit a ridiculously cold-blooded 3 that ended up sealing it.

These West games just keep getting crazier the farther they go past my bedtime...must be awfully tough for the Clips to handle losing last night after being up 3 with only a few seconds left in OT. They would be in a position to close out the series at home if they had held on to that lead. And what's Cassell committing a backcourt 8 second violation in the last minute of regulation, with nobody pressing him?! As my former roommate would put it in situations like that, SamIAm was just "bojanglin'" too much as he brought it up the court. :)

some really boneheaded plays by both teams, but man that was exciting. what was sam doing smiling like that anyway bringing the ball up the court? he had a game to win, no time for goofin around...but it made it that much more priceless when he got called for the 8-second violation!!

I got to see some of these games. Really entertaining. The clips have got to avoid getting baited into playing Fenix ball. Anyway, I'm reall rooting for the clips. Keep it going guys.

Go Clips. I want to see Kaman vs. Duncan in the WCF. Phuck Phoenix. Although you gotta love Nash.

I am becoming a HUGE fan of the Clippers. Talk about underdogs. If they beat the Suns, it will totally screw up my Pistonsforum brackets, and keep me from winning any prizes... but, prizes be damned! Go Clippers!

Looks like another 7th game MVP performance for Nash.
102-83 Suns with 8:56 to play.
