OK TheeTFD and I both agree.....VSL refs SUCK!!!!
These jackholes called 22 personal fouls in the 1st Qtr and that doesn't include offensive fouls. Damn amateurs.

Just saw only a couple video highlights of the game on Ch.4. They showed a couple buckets by Acker and one by Johnson.
Also noticed that Samb has the 'fro out tonight  .

All I saw was the boxscore, but it showed we had a hell of a comeback:whoo:

Hello kids! Great night, unfortunately, I haven't had dinner and I just got home so you will all have to wait until tomorrow morning for the recap. I'm just not the iron man I used to be.
It's worth it though...

Alex Acker is shooting close to 20 shots per game. Is he being a ballhog or is he getting a lot of good looks?:)

Nice job on Amare. The boxscore said he had 10 fouls and 8 TO's along with shooting only 3-9. I think the boxscores are messed up though because some numbers are outrageous. What's up with Maxiell having 11 fouls (Only allowed 10 in VSL).
:ohwell:The Low will have his great report anyways:)

Cheikh Samb in the clutch!
... Trailing 87-83 with 1:06 remaining in the game, Detroit reeled off seven unanswered points to take the game.
Detroit's Cheikh Samb scored eight points in the game, but his final two were the most important. With 15-seconds left to play, Samb hit a fall-away jumper from the right side to put his team up for good.
Alex Acker led all scorers with a 29-point (9-24 FG, 11-14 F) outing. Acker was one of three Pistons to collect double-figure point totals. Mateen Cleeves had 14, while Nik Caner-Medley had 10.

Low, you were with Ronnie Nunn for that picture. Did you ask him about all the foul calls?

The Low and TheeTFD hung out at the game and with Ronnie Nunn afterwards. That's simply great. I'm sure The Low will let everyone know how the convo with the league's head of officiating went.

If you can believe it, someone finally paid at least a little attention to Detroit. This is from Marty Burns today, at SportsIllustrated.com:
That's not to say Stoudemire didn't have some setbacks. In addition to his 10 fouls, he committed eight turnovers. He also was on the wrong end of one of the night's highlight moments when he failed to stop Detroit's Jason Maxiell on a baseline drive. Maxiell threw down a dunk, and drew the foul, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers. Even Knicks players Nate Robinson and David Lee, who were waiting to play the next game, rose from their bleacher seats to hoot and holler.

Sweet! Big shout out to Low and his recap as well. We have a world class product here at PistonsForum.Com and Low's excellent commentatry speaks to that point. I am really getting excited about Acker and Maxiel. The initial analysis is very encouraging.

About Nunn, we bought up the fact Cuban did an indepth critic of the Finals refs. and calls. And suggested to Nunn the computer was the way to go because, as he said, it's 4 on 1. Teams 1 and 2, the players and the fans vs the refs. And the refs should explain/defend themselves.
... We noticed they called numerous "traveling" and "blocking" but not one "palmming".
Nunn mostly said, the coaches were telling the players to be aggressive and physical but that aint what the refs were to condone!

The Low taking a picture with Nunn is beyond ironic. There's not even a word for it. It's "uber-ironic."

After I checked the score yesterday I thought that was a real exciting game. The Low pointed out though there was 70 foul calls! That's way too many.

Sounds like the refs are getting ready for "the new NBA" as well. 70 foul calls could lead to an extra 40 or 50 points in scoring from the stripe.
C'mon now fellas, let's get that scoring up! It's what market analysis has shown the "fans" want.
