Sonics deal Moore, an ex-Piston, to Nets
The Sonics traded center Mikki Moore , a former Piston, to the Nets for a second-round pick in the 2009 draft.
Moore played in 47 games last season, his first with the Sonics, but became expendable after Seattle drafted 7-footer Mouhamed Sene with the No. 10 pick in this year's draft.
Sene, 20, was thought to be headed for the NBA Development League at the start of next season, but general manager Rick Sund said Sene played "surprisingly well" for the Sonics' summer-league team.
Seattle coach Bob Hill said his preference is to have Sene start next season with the Sonics, instead of in the D-League.
Moore averaged 3.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12 minutes last season. He has averaged 4.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 303 career games.

Sonics are loaded with young big men.

Sene
Swift
Petro

That gives them 3 guys 6'11" or taller. It's an interesting approach. You would think that at least one of them will pan out as a solid rotation player.

If they end up with 2, that would give them a great front line.

Have to love those 48 minute stats, 13 and 10. But if Miki is still getting PT, it shows how few big men there are that can play in this league.

Nets did the move as a reasurance. Josh Boone just got shoulder surgery.
