And on the sixth day Rod rested
Mike O'Hara / The Detroit News

ALLEN PARK -- See what a little hard work can do?

The numbers added up in coach Rod Marinelli's head

Give the Lions their first break in training camp Wednesday.

He canceled the afternoon practice and whittled the morning workout to a walkthrough, without pads.

"They deserve it," Marinelli said. "I feel good about it."

Please stop posting this propaganda. I'm easily mislead by preseason positives. I read this stuff and actually believe we are headed in the right direction. That we will actually have a winning season. Play like a team with pride.

But that can't possibly happen with the Lions...can it? :fingerscr:pray:

I'm not biting this time. No Sir!

I'm not gonna...OH %*&%$#@%**!!!! Reel me in. :fish2: I just took the bait.:yield:

Rod is the saviour of the franchise. All good things come from Rod.

Where Rod leads, we will follow.

I'm not buying it. Not yet, anyway. I'm so skeptical of the Organization, that they could be 10-1, and I would still be waiting for the collapse. Hopefully I am wrong.

Looks like they're moving Boss to MLB. Not that I don't think he can do it, but I liked him over the TE. I think his knees and ankles are OK now. Let's see how he does when a 300lb C fires out at him.
Also from the O'Hara art. 8-1-06, this Tampa Two Defense [TTD] likes to "spill" the run outside so the LBs can pursue. We'll see?

When he was in the Lion's Den, who was it that Daniel called on?

Rod

My gut tells me...

I read this stuff and actually believe we are headed in the right direction.

Yes

That we will actually have a winning season.

I can see us around the .500 mark this season, but not much more than that.

Play like a team with pride.

Yes. And discipline, energy, effort, creativity, passion and confidence.

But it is the Lions afterall. Although I'm entering this season with a slightly less lofty W/L goal than usual, I do think we'll be better prepared and better coached.

I'm fine with baby steps, as long as they're going forward.
