I can't believe he is still around. Let's face it, this is the Lions Darko.

I really think trading him would be as stupid as trying to trade Delfino or Amir. You'd never get what they are really worth, because they haven't really proven anything.

I say keep him for insurance against injuries.

I mean, we're talking about the Number Darko pick in the draft.

Make the best of a bad sit. get a pick.

I don't even care if we get anything for him at this point. Of course Millen should try that route first, but like you said Star, his value is almost zero. But if that doesn't work, just release the loser.

That's a VERY expensive insurance policy. I'd rather have a guy making 1/10th of Rogers salary but gives 10x the effort.

Right now there are 8 guys ahead of him on the depth chart.

Heck, even Paris Hamilton and Devale Ellis have shown more than Rogers. Thats TEN receivers that have out performed Rogers so far. Rogers isn't a special teams player either. Of those 10 guys, only 1 of them - Mike Williams - doesn't play special teams.

Not ONE of them makes more than Rogers and only Bradford and Drummond have been in the league longer. Rogers has shown nothing in 4 years.

Its time to cut our losses.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers will miss Friday's preseason game against the Cleveland Browns with a knee injury. After Thursday's workout, coach Rod Marinelli said the fourth-year receiver would not play against the Browns. Rogers missed the last three days of practice with soreness in his knee.

This may be all that's needed for someone to step up and take his slot.
