From the Free Press: (http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060906/SPORTS01/609060371/1049)

The prospect had little foot speed and an average high school arm. He was neither elusive nor brawny. At night, when he looked down the football field, he couldn't detect color beyond 20 yards. He saw moving smudges, a blur streaking across the grass.

Pretty good article about the mad offensive scientist that is Mike Martz.

Very interesting. 52 years and 1 playoff win. We should have the patience to wait another year for his lessons to sink in.

Seriously, given the situation he walked into, I don't care if he goes 2-14 this year. I'd give him at least another year unless he really shows he doesn't deserve it.

The lions have to learn that its not always the coaches faults. A good start will would be firing Millen instead of firing anymore coaches.

I know of a 3 legged dog that he may be able to mold into the perfect WR.:pound:

I sure hope this article isn't correct, but it sounds like a very distinct possibility. I'm hoping Martz sticks around for atleast 2 seasons.

I don't know of any Darth Anything that would tolerate weak BS from his subordinates. Your inability to strangle with thought projection tells me you a weak Darthian. Your survival is doomed.

Whatever, Jabba breath.
Given your weak inability to overcome the loss of this dude--->:afro:, I think we are going to rename you "Darth Poodle". Then you will have your own fro to worry about. :skull::fight2:

If you read correctly I never fussed over the loss of BBeen. But when guys like HQ balled for weeks I relented. Mercifully.
Perhaps there is an internet game multi-player where you can test your skills against a Wokie-Jedi master.

Your mind is weak to succomb to a Jedi mind trick.

Um... so anyway :focus:

Doesn't anyone have an opinion on Martz potentially leaving after this season?:noidea:

Maybe I should put it a different way.

How would you feel if :obiwan: stopped training Jedi's after just one training session?

Or if :darthvader: decided to jump ship while the :deathstar1: was only partially completed?

Marinate better learn fast.

I've been saying it elsewhere for weeks.

Martz is why the Lions look any better. Marinelli and Henderson are failing with the defense.

If Martz is gone, we'll back to toothless Rod Marinate and a bunch of guys he calls MEN! And that will mean we will be somewhere SUB-MOOCH.

Martz is interviewing for the Dolphins head coaching job and is also reportedly "very interested" in the Raiders job.

I'm not a big fan of Martz, but I was hoping to get a 2nd season out of him before his act started to wear thin. Doesn't look like we're going to get that chance.

The Dolphin thing doesn't make since, Blue Skys awaits.
And he pretty much ran him from here. Threatening him with the likes of McCown and Kitna.

Culpepper, Cleo Lemon. Joey Herringbone is 3rd on the depth chart now. :)

Still he'll have to look him in the face and call him a whoos.
Do you think Joey showed improvement?
Whipping Chi. in Chi. was huge. He's got to be a Dolphin Fan fav just for that.
