The Wings -- Swedes, Americans, Czechs, Canadians, Russians and all -- are so caught up in the success of owner Mike Ilitch's other team that when the Tigers' American League Championship Series schedule came out, it made them want to change their plans. The Wings were supposed to leave Saturday for Los Angeles, where they start a four-game road trip with a date against the Kings on Monday. But when they saw that the Tigers are hosting Oakland on Saturday night, Lidstrom, in his new role as captain, approached coach Mike Babcock, and now the Wings are leaving Sunday morning instead.
