Kinda Weird.
Auerbach dies on the day you set your clock an hour back.

He was one of the great Pistons haters in the 80s. What the Pistons org. would have given to have a franchise architect like him.

My sentiments, as well. Red was the quintessential basketball man and made the game much larger than he left it. A special pleasure for me is noting Red's devilish joy in clinching a victory or simply savoring the acts of the game. In the day of the ascendent corporation where too many men squeeze out any tincture of life from his actions, Red was a real human being--from his guffawing, smoking cigars, to his players calling him a friend to a man. Thanks
