Didn't want to start a new thread to justify this guy's existence. This guy is really a piece of work.

I shouldn't be, but I'm surprised he said that and the season has yet to begin. I'm going to start thinking of him as "Ron Arse-test"

Yeah, this dude has a serious problem.

The guy is a total psychopath. Playing hard is one thing, but actually wanting to play out of control is just dumb. The guy is practically begging the refs to call fouls on him.
I doubt he's learned anything from the brawl. I'm looking forward to watching Arse-test (nice one Darth) self destruct this season.

Some of Artest's comments over the summer made me think he had gotten out of his craziness...that he had some remorse and reflection of his actions of last year.
NOPE!!! I'm wrong again! :frusty:
"I’m going to continue playing hard and out of control, like a wild animal that needs to be caged in...I'll let the referees handle it...I wish I was 280..."
This man is the poster boy for bi-polar disorder. He's plainly psychotic.
I hope Carlisle is trying to cool RA's rants, but as I've said b4, I don't think RC or anyone else can talk any sense to this nutjob.
The following article shows that nothing about him has changed since his late-game (Pacers up by 10-15 with under 2 to play) hard-hack on Ben.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9667131/
I fully expect Artest to acquire another season suspension b4 the end of this calendar year.
This is the same guy who asked for a few months off last season prior to the brawl.
This realization that he already has more money than he could ever spend so he may as well do what he wants actually makes him more sane than others but does not bode well for the health of the Pacer team.

This guy is totally a nut job. I am waiting for him to meltdown again it won't be long. He has not changed one bit. He should have been required to attend angermangement classes and consult with shrink before he was reinstated.
I just hope when he loses control and he will he is not playing the Pistons. The last thing we need is for him to injure a Piston player or pound on some more fans at the Palace.

The looney image of Artest I have in my mind is when he appeared outside the Piston's team bus during last season with nothing but a pair of nut-hugger shorts on....he pranced and flexed, I guess trying to insult the Piston players but ended up having the whole bus laughing at him. Would you want your teams season to be dependant on this guy?
Plus he thinks he's a talented musician? He has about as much musical talent as this guy...

He's crazy like Rodman. I still think that he will have a great year. I wouldn't want to play against him. Or throw a bottle of water at him without security near by.

That was one of the craziest stories I had ever heard. I could not stop laughing just thinking about it. It was especially funny when the guy's started teasing Big Ben saying Artest was going to get him.
I could only think of this phrase "Whatcha gonna do when Artest runs wild on you!!!"

Plus if we're involved Pacers fans, and Piston haters will say that they won only because they made artest go crazy.

I spent the whole day thinking about Ronnie's quote and planned to head right over to the Indy Star site to get the local take.
Interesting article to say the least.

Check out the photo from micro's link, fellas. Jefferson looks mighty small next to Raging Ron.

The thing that I love about the wild, and uncontrolled Arsetest is that he prudently backed off from any hostilites with Ben and went after the littlest guy in the stands, who was still holding his beer!
I think I know how he got up to 260 pounds... he's constipated. I'm sure he'll make 280 without any problem. :mmph:

By referring to him as "Arse-test," do you mean that he took the arse test and passed... or was passed?

How could I have not started my own thread on Mad Cow Artest:confused: . I was hoping he got the message to settle down and stop embarrassing everyone. Please don't compare him to the Worm. The Worm just likes to walk the edge and look over. MCA jumps over the edge without looking.

"I'm very edgy and I'm not going to balance it," Artest said of his playing style. "(Last year) it's over now. I'm back now. Ready to play ball and sell some records."

Maybe Tyson would be a better comparison. They sort of have the same logic.

Man, what an idiot. That guy is a total flake. Carlisle is going to have his hands full this year, and no Reggie Miller to help in the locker room.
"I get a chance to promote my album," Artest said. "Jay-Z pays millions for promotion. I get it for free."
Uh, actually Ronnie, you don't get it for free.
"Artest, who lost $5 million in salary because of his ban, doesn't appear to be too worried about being sports' premier bad boy."
It cost you $5 million.

Right after the whole cup incident I went to an Indy fan site and they were saying that Ben should have been arrested and suspended for the year as well. The problem with that logic is Ben did not go nuts and try to take on a whole arena.
The NBA should have made him go to counseling or anger-management but thought he would learn his lesson if they took away the game and some loot. If I was Stern I would have suspended him for saying he is not going to change. Ron Ron wants the refs to decide well Stern should do it for them.

What's interesting is Indy Fan's point-of-view.
Indy Fan is more upset over Ron's performance during game #1 of the preseason, moreso than they are about his comments. In 12 minutes he took 8 shots, mostly bad shots, leading Cola to call Artest's performance "disappointing."
Indy Fan is starting to see no evidence that Artest is a changed man, and THAT worries them. On the court, he's a bad decision maker who sometimes seems more concerned with himself than the team. Off the court...well...he's a moron, still.
I'm wondering, truly, if Artest is mentally stable enough to play in the NBA?
I like the comparison to Mike Tyson. Of course, Tyson's a boxer - he's supposed to hurt his opponents.

Looks like Artest kicked some butt today with 23 points and a nice stat sheet. Also, Jascevisious (sp?) looks very dangerous. We are gonna have some battles with Indiana this year!
Is supposed to be the guy that propels the Pacers over the Pistons in many eyes.
Kind of seems like he is losing interest in bball.

Yes Ben didn't pull off anthing bad enough to get him arrested or suspended the whole year. The only thing I remember Ben doing is pushing Artest (in a normal game that would only be a tech0, and throwing rowels which would get him suspended 1 or 2 games. Which is exactly what happened.

I want to see how Lorbek does if he makes the team. I was very impressed with him when he was at MSU. I thought he really hurt his career when he left. He lost out on his education too, but I guess his father convinced him he needed to return to his country because they needed help financially at the time. :ohwell:

yeah he also hurt MSU's chances when leaving, was mad at that. the guy could play and flat-out shoot.
