if you haven't read this, you should. It's a brilliant interview with an NBA owner who is quite open about the past and present moves of his team.

City Pages - Online Exclusive: The Extended Glen Taylor Interview (http://citypages.com/databank/27/1352/article14853.asp)

It's 3 pages long, and very captivating.

I did and it gave me bad feelings about our current situation. However, a number of people have expressed ire when I say something negative so I'll just leave it at that.

Its just one game. Its just one season. Its just one span of 2-3 years. Time and the team march on.

Wow. Pretty interesting stuff. Two things that strike me. First, the general incompetence around writing contracts - that an NBA franchise would effectively botch so many trades (Smith, Hudson, Blount) through a basic lack of understanding of league rules is pretty amazing. Second, notice that they always seem to be in a reactive position. They always seem to feel that their hand is forced, that they took the best of several bad choices. They don’t seem to be out in front of anything that happens to the franchise.

I guess if you’re a Wolves fan on one hand it’s good to have an owner who is willing to try and tell the truth about what’s going on. But, on the other hand, it’s hard to believe that this management team, from the owner down, is capable of building a long term competitive franchise.

Is that why Chauncey endorsed Flip?
The Twolves PG salary that year is well documented.
But why cloud a good conspiracy.

What conspiracy is that?

What conspiracy is that?
That Flip caused CB to leave

I thought they had a very capable starting PG at the time. I think its one thing for Taylor to blame Flip for losing Chauncey esp. in hindsight and at the same time Chauncey just saying "hey, I'll just go to Detroit...no big deal."

Its like this board saying WE don't play defense!!! and the other guys saying but we won 64 games! its your POV.
