The Detroit Lions put defensive end James Hall and reserve running back Brian Calhoun on injured reserve Thursday, ending their seasons. Detroit signed defensive end Corey Smith and running back Aveion Cason to fill the roster spots. Hall, a starter since 2002, had five sacks in seven games this season before missing Detroit's previous game against Atlanta with a shoulder injury.

Wow, that sucks. Our 1 decent pass rusher. I didn't think the injury was that bad. On the bright side, at least his 2 offsides a game are on the IR as well.

I didn't even know Calhoun was injured. He won't be a big loss since he rarely saw the field.
