Yes finally the Suns streak ended today against the Timberwolves. Kevin Garnett had 44 points and 12 rebounds, 3 points shy of his career high. The Timberwolves won 121-112. I cant believe the Wolves were able to stop the Suns. All the better. What do you guys think of the chances of the Suns starting another winning streak and do you think the Suns are the best in the West if they cant beat the Wolves?

Yeah I watched that game tonight. The Suns' shooting was really off. Also their energy seemed down. I don't like these winning records streaks with all the media hype they generate. It seems like the hugest of distractions when we are only just over halfway through the season. I think they can put together another streak, but I hope that the win streak is a secondary goal for them. Accolades in the regular season seem to be famously predictive of postseason disappointment. In this age of media overkill and fan obsession, I'd think flying under the radar is the safest way to go if you want to win a title. Good Riddance to the Streak and Good Luck to the Suns!

Ya very poor night, usually the suns close out teams in the 4th. But, the combination of a cold 4th quarter, a back to back, and KG going off for 40+ will almost always equal a loss.

The Suns are firing on all cylinders, I don't think one loss will stop them. Just will make them hungrier to take on San Antonio this week and stop this talk that they can't beat the elite teams.

I say they start another streak, but maybe only 8 or 9 games with some loses in between for the rest of the season. Phoenix isnt gonna win 70 games, nor should they try to. They need to stay in rhythm and healthy to make a good run in the playoffs. Last year they got hurt in the playoffs, heck even the year before.

That being said, I think the suns arent trying to win every game as much as they are just plain winning them. They are obviously conditioned to the pace and style they are playing, and so many teams cant keep up.

Funny that both Suns and Mavs have put together at two least double digit winning streaks and after 45 games they are both 36-9. Suns had a 15 & 17 game win streak and the Mavs have had two 13 game winning streaks.

Last year after 45 games, the Pistons were three games better at 39-6. During that stretch they had winning streaks of 8, 6, 9 and 11 on their way to that 39-6 record. Afterwards a couple of six game winning streaks allowed the to hold on to the best record, before they tired out at the end.

Both of the Mavs and Suns have a better bench then last years Pistons bench. So unless one of their major players goes down with a major injury, I see more streaks and wins totaling at least 60 wins for both teams.
