According to a police report, the three were in the 8 Seconds Saloon, 111 N. Lynhurst Dr. at 2:15 a.m. when they got into a scrap with the bar’s manager, Mark Nicholson. The fight followed the Pacers' Monday night loss to the Golden State Warriors.

When police arrived at the scene, Tinsley and Daniels had left. McLeod and Jeremy King, who is McLeod’s cousin from Toledo, were still at the scene. “They were trying to find Mr. King’s tooth,” said IMPD spokesman Doug Scheffel.

Does it never end with that team?:nerd2: Doesn't sound good, but I would imagine more will come out.

It makes you grateful to be a Pistons fan.:)

:laser:<----Didn't we get Taser from Indy?

If Jim Paxson can outlaw headbands, then Larry Bird should outlaw the Pacers going into bars. These guys are a menace to society when out in public. :boxing: I wonder if Steven Jackson has just left the bar to catch a plane with his new team. You know he is always around somewhere when the words FIGHT amd PACER are in the some sentence:)

You know how construction sites have signs like:
544 days since last injury

How about this for the Pacers locker room?
127 0 days since last appearance in police blotter

Outstanding work, Sausage King...LOL. Great stuff. Lurker's locker-room material idea is pretty hilarious as well.

Yeah, should all be put to rest when the charges are dropped. And how does a bar manager (get it, not an owner) get his jaw broken and a chunk a his ear ripped out? Maybe an ulterior motive?
At least, that's what "I heard."

Huh? What ulterior motive? Was the manager entering a Vincent Van Gogh look alike contest?

Huh? What ulterior motive? Was the manager entering a Vincent Van Gogh look alike contest?Nah, just someone with his jaw wired shut. Probably better that way anyway.
Vecsey had a column the other day saying someone he trusts insists Tinsley had absolutely nothing to do with this other than being there.
I know it's Vecsey, but Tins is a NY guy.
What are these guys doing at a place called the 8 Seconds Saloon anyway? Don't tell me celebrating the Colts season.....

Tinsley has denied he was there, but has been placed there by several people.

Ranger Rick should put these guys on lockdown.

It blows my mind that they get into this much trouble in Indy. Can you imagine if they were in NY or Chicago? :gun1:

Roscoe: He was there. He's denying this happened when he was there. I think there's a difference. His denial was emphatic.
Do you actually believe "Ranger Rick" has any hope here? Just a week ago this team was on a 6-2 run and looking at three opponents with losing records at Conseco. Maybe Donnie or the Simons ought to give Bird the same ultimatum Dolan gave Zeke: You coach these guys you brought in.

These guy's are a bunch of losers. They get into trouble because they walk into a place and think they own it. If these guy's were in Chicago or NY going to ran down dives causing trouble they would most likely end up in a pine box.

ED, when it gets dropped or resolved, you are 100% welcome to come here and post it.

Sorry, but you have lost me.

This issue already has a thread of its own, does it not?

Secondly, exactly what is obvious? Is what is "obvious" based on what you term "hearsay" or do you have additional information?

According to this article (http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/sports/16722867.htm) (Philly.com) that ran today, the case is still out the the grand jury.

Maybe if the charges are dropped someone will indeed start a thread in which everyone will have the opportunity to apologize for even thinking that members of that esteemed basketball club would ever do anything other than uphold the highest standards of professional conduct at all times.

The grand jury is done, and Tinsley and Daniels are facing charges.

Two Pacers indicted in bar fight (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070221/SPORTS04/70221033)

"There were very forceful threats made by Mr. Tinsley," Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said late this afternoon. One included Tinsley saying "I will kill you" to the bar's staff, according to the grand jury indictment, and that threat elevated the first intimidation charge to a felony.

I guess an indictment is a statement of guilt then, eh?
Still say these charges will be dropped.

I don't know, it seems it's all based on hearsay. Combine that with a pressured prosecutor witnessing alarming crime rate increases and these high profile guys, you got an anxious community willing to circle the wagons and blame anyone.
Good thing Tinsley was only waving a broom during that brawl.:pound:

There were plenty of eyewitness accounts. Other than having it on film, I don't know what else you can ask.

I'm pretty sure the truth will come out in the wash, but the Pacers are going to need to clean house soon. There is a reason beyond coincidence that things like this keep happening to them and these off the court incidents IMO are directly correlated to their poor performance on the court.

Agree, but it seem like this will be the third housecleaning. Maybe they need a new maid.

I think the lesson here is that it easy very hard to change the personality of the organization. It's fragile to maintain a good clubhouse, and very hard to improve a fractured one.

These Pacers aren't learning any lessons anyway.

I'm saying that it's not easy to just turnover one or two players and expect the organizational attitude to change. The Pacers have changed their roster substantially but it is still not enough. This is testament to how hard it is to correct a bad situation.

Bird isn't giving answers to the fans because likely, he still searching for them himself.
