Does having the high scorer on your team correlate with winning at all? Statheads? A little help here please...

I imagine it might a little. Sometimes it's a barometer of which team has the hottest hand. And when the whole team is cold you'll no doubt both lose and not have the leading scorer.

To the extent that the team with the most points at the end wins, then having a guy who scores a lot of points is probably a good thing. The interesting thing would be to break out the high scorers into ranges (high scorer for the team was < 25, 26-35, 36-50, 50+) and then check the winning percentages. I'm guessing those middle ranges do pretty well.
