...an affair (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/news/story?id=2791950) she had with a player who was on one of her teams?

Pokey Chatman resigned as the head women's basketball coach at Louisiana State on Wednesday after the university became aware of an alleged inappropriate sexual relationship between Chatman and a former player on Chatman's team, sources told ESPN.com.

The university, the sources said, learned of the relationship from an employee within the basketball program. It was unclear when the alleged improper conduct took place, but when asked if it had occurred while the player was a member of a team coached by Chatman, a university source said, "that's my understanding"...

Tenth-ranked LSU (26-7) upset then-No. 2 Tennessee last week in the Southeastern Conference tournament before losing to Vanderbilt in Sunday's tournament final.

Chatman was 90-14 as LSU's head coach. Before that, she was 15-5 as acting head coach during the latter stages of the 2003-04 season, when longtime coach Sue Gunter left the team because of lung disease. The Lady Tigers went on to reach the Final Four in New Orleans, where they lost in the semifinals to Tennessee.

Chatman, a Louisiana native, has been at LSU as both a player and coach for nearly 18 years.Yikes. That's quite a story!

I know Im getting more "something" because of it....But I think if it was a former player or someone that was on the team "at the time" , it doesnt matter. She could have got her peaches elsewhere. I think i'll watch 'The L Word' more often. I need something new in my TV world.....

They are in season 3 of the L word and i had only seen no more than 3 or 4 minutes of it at a time. But I watched about 20 minutes of last weekend and there were a couple of women going at so hot and heavy I had cover me and my wife's eyes

I know. I need something to watch alone. I dont get the Playboy channel for free down here like I did in Milwaukee. They had some nice 'get away from the wife' shows, but just as many shows that u can watch WITH the missus. I think Im hitting my MLC(midlife crisis) and I want to enjoy it! Alas, I havent saved enough $$$ yet so Im gonna put off my MLC for another 3 years!

She was probably taking advantage of the younger less experienced lady. Using her mature cunning to nurture the first time away from home young lady. In this time of over population it's hard to believe the world is still stifling to lovers. :(

LSU's Lady Bengals have managed to get to the Final Four in spite of their coaching soap opera, after annihilating top-seeded UConn by 23 points in their regional final. Maybe'll they have a 1989-style run to the 'ship under a promoted assistant, a la Michigan that year when Fisher replaced Frieder.

No more news on the sex scandal, as far as I know, though of course y'all will be the first to know if I do run across anything. :heh:

Just so there is no misunderstanding, I did not mean to imply that there was a connection between Pokey and Kara.

I was just posting the picture of another basketball lady whom I find attractive.
