Here's a clip (http://www.thefirstbasket.com/CLIPS/HR_FirstBasket1.mov) from a new documentary, showing the Knicks scoring the first basket in the Basketball Association of America (BAA), which would later merge into the NBA. This is such a pretty fast break, I thought it might be interesting to fans who've been led to believe the early players were slow and mechanical.

Nice video. The second shot in the video is a very deep shot. Hard to judge without the arc and the lane being so much smaller, but I would say that was a few feet out from NBA 3 point range.

Looks like the old fellas could really play.

That deep shot was a sweet set shot. Definitely not a jumper.
