But then Aldridge tossed out some ridiculous numbers that Riley had told him. Essentially, when the Heat score very well in this system, they are undefeated. When they score pretty well, they almost never lose. And when they score poorly, they almost always lose.

Making it perhaps the most effective single basketball statistic I have ever known about.

So basically, when they play well, they win. And when they don't, they sometimes lose. Genius!

It would be a lot easier for his staff if he would just use the most telling statistic of all... points.

Our 'assistants' keep stats too. at the end of the game flip motions for the clipboard. Ronald Dupree comes over with a paper that says Pistons 88 Bulls 106. Flip looks over the sheet and says: Looks like we lost that one. Apparently, we needed to score more.

Same here...sorry to see TrueHoop succumb to such a controlled source. Nice bit of suggestion from Avenarius...a stats man wet dream.
