Well we know where DMC won't be playing next year.

76ers give Brown permission to interview with Grizzlies - NBA - Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AsjJWAHkhBMwH61IDzEmpME5nYcB?slug=ap-brown-grizzlies&prov=ap&type=lgns)

Hats off to Larry, it may sound cruel
but we laughed at him when he said he was through
He told some lies now it's the Grizzlies turn to cry.

No doubt. He may not be a good person, but he is one heck of a businessman!

Noone ever said that LB is stupid, even though he may be the biggest SOB out there with a HUGE ego. He took $18mil from NY after taking money from D-town. The question is - how much is enough? And where does he fit his family life? After all these years of coaching, isn't there time in life to settle down and spend time with our family? Apparently not for LB.

Yeah...it can't be about the money. LB has enough money to keep him in diapers and catheter tubing for the next few centuries.

This team has like a 45% chance of getting one of the top two draft choices. How can they think LB is the right man.........he hates rookies after 4 years of college. What would he do with a high school player. Oh yea, thats right...I forgot about DMC.........................

Memphis? Why would someone from Long Island with all the money he could possibly want and lingering health issues decide to coach a fourth-rate team in a third-rate town in the middle of nowhere?

Hopefully whoever ends up as GM of that team is wise enough to recognize LB as too good to be true.

From ESPN Insider:

Brown, Vandeweghe To Interview
Apr 25 - Former New York Knicks coach Larry Brown will meet with Grizzlies majority Michael Heisley today to discuss replacing interim head coach Tony Barone Sr. Former Denver Nuggets boss Kiki Vandeweghe will soon follow Brown to talk to Heisley about replacing team president Jerry West, who announced his intention to leave the organization July 1.

Best coach in the game.

He should be fine with their young players as long as they are not foreign.

Should be a good gig for him. Not all the pressure he had in NY.

I still come back to the question I posed earlier: why does he need it?

He likes to coach and probably does not want to end his career with that NY fiasco.

He'd probably do fine in Memphis. As badly as things went in New York, his track record of taking over crap teams and quickly improving them into playoff squads consists of one bad year with one franchise against 15 or 20 very good years with 4 or 5 other franchises, so I'd say that the odds of him being successful with the Grizz are pretty solid.

Hey, Buddahan, I am jewish and so is my wife. Call me lucky, but money was never an issue in our relationship. And, no, my last name is not Brown. (I'm not rich by any means).

Buddhafan sounds like Cary Grant's character in North by Northwest:

(http://imdb.com/name/nm0000026/)Roger Thornhill (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000026/): What's wrong with men like me?
Eve Kendall (http://imdb.com/name/nm0001693/): They don't believe in marriage.
Roger Thornhill (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000026/): I've been married twice.

The guy has a HUGE ego. He needs to be in the spotlight.
