Tonights performance could have been the greatest one game performance by any player in the history of the NBA playoffs. Even topping Magic and Michael.

I doubt seriously that anyone has ever had a triple double where they got at least 16 in every category. Just amazing.

16 points
16 rebounds
19 assists

Wow! That really is amazing. I saw that the Nets were administering a beatdown, but I had no idea that Kidd was putting up such huge numbers.

Still, I think the best playoffs box score ever was Clyde Frazier in the 1970 NBA Finals, the "Willis Reed game," where Clyde put up this line in Game 7:

36 points
19 assists
7 boards

Joe needs to sign him as our backup PG. :pound:

Well it is certainly something that NBA fans can argue over. LOL

It is a six pack argument for sure or maybe even more if you drink the light beer. I never liked whisky, but I sure love Bud Cobra! Not the strongest ale but close enough. But the calories are just murder.

Jason looks younger. However, he was unable to maintain this type of play throughout the year. If he can keep it up, Toronot will have no chance in this series.

Halftime of Warriors/Mavs, they're showing the other two times in playoff history that someone went at least 15-15-15 in pts-rebs-asts:

1985 Fat Lever 19-16-18
1967 Wilt 16-30-19

Obviously a very difficult feat to accomplish. Hats off to JK.

Let's not overlook his 3 steals and 1 block.

How does a point guard get this many rebounds? I didn't watch it, so I just can't comprehend it.

Ridiculous.

You have 5 turnovers and still have an assist to to ratio of 4:1 ?

This is why I chuckle at thoughts that J-Kidd has lost a step and isn't one of the top 3 PGs in the league...or one of the top 10 PGs of all-time.

Lafayette Lever - He was a pretty fair baller. Played on those Rocket teams with a Alex English (HOF), Danny Schayes, son of HOF player Dolph Schayes.

Lever ranks sixth all-time in triple doubles with 49.

That other guy Wilt - Well

In 1966-67 he averaged

MPG - 45.5
Points - 24.1
Rebounds - 24.2
Assists - 7.8

In 1967-68 he averaged

MPG - 46.8
Points - 24.3
Rebounds - 23.8
Assists - 8.6

It is clear from this that Wilt's numbers were inflated because he played all those minutes in each game - LOL

That in my opinion was his most amazing achievement playing all those minutes per game and never fouling out in his career.

In 1961-62 he played in 80 games and average 48.5 minutes a game. Now there is a record that will never be broken, unless they lengthen the regulation time of the game.

I hate on this guy because is he CBs rival.
And because the Nets took a playoff series from us. Then bored everybody in the finals.
But still contend he'd make a excellant backup to CB.

So would Steve Nash. :nerd2:

The one positive we can get from this is that Billups is closer to Kidd in size and age than any other premier PG. If Kidd can still do it, then signing Billups long term looks a lot more positive.

I'd let Nash backup CB too.
Maybe it's more his teammates but Kidd is very inconsistant. But usually he is a strong rebounder. Why would a PG be in posistion to rebound? Because he's not defending on the perimeter?

Kidd is just rare. Most 6'5 point guards are fakes--shooting guards who need an excuse to monopolize the ball. But he's a real point guard with great size and quickness, and he doesn't take plays off or shy away from contact. His instinct for long rebounds practically turns them into outlet passes going the other way.

All that said, it was against Toronto.
