But if they dont cut S.Rogers it proves to me Rod's not a man of his word and if thats the case I'll cheer for the Vikings to win the NFC north. If you want to make an example to the players of what could happen to you if you dont want to perform as a pro on and off the field then you play no favortisim to any of them

Rogers has all the makings of a probowler but has no dedication to the game or team mates.. Just himself. Rod has to make this his real first impression on the team. Do what I expect or be gone. Nomatter how good you are or could be.

I understand it was easy to cut Bly and Hall... Its a little harder to cut a tackle like Rogers because of play making ability and potential but if you want a team to play like a team after the message you sent then you bite the bullet and do it and hope like hell another stands up and takes his place.

Rogers is the last of what Millen has brought in. Cut the guy and let Rod bring in dedicated talent that actually love to play the game. Guys/players that wont take things for granted.

Just saying...Cut the last of the dead weight and move on. Millen included!

Rod, Keep your word. You said you only wanted players that loved and breathed the game. What about Rogers? If something isnt done you lose all my respect.

Hey Zander, nice to see you around.

I knew that Rod would have a hard time living up to his high standards, because football is a talent driven game. You can work hard and get to 8-8, but without talent, you have no chance of winning a title.

We'll see what happens.

I know what your saying my friend but if Rod doesent keep his word then the point is lost. Players will take things the wrong way. They'll think they can slack some and things will be OK. Inorder to win the north they all have to be on the same page. We all know the NFC north is a division that can easily be won but still the team all has to be on the same page. Rogers and his me-me attitude could be what causes the team to finish second and not first. It's either your a team player... or no player at all.

The NFC North has strong defensive minded teams. All were ranked in the NFL top 12 except for the Lions. They were ranked much lower. If they lose Rogers (I agree with your position), that will cripple their ability to compete in a division that is defensively tough.................

Nemo,

Hard to gage the Spartans this year. New HC,players and system. Just don't know what to expect, but as a fan, you're always hopeful for greatness. Feel free to ask me the same question a couple of weeks into the season...I'll give you my opinion then!

I like the Spartans. Would love them to become a consistent 10 game winner. Loved 1984 when they ran the ball real tough.............

I root for UM. Had season tickets for awhile when I lived back in Michigan. Hope they can continue a string of strong seasons. Last year they looked real focused. Just gotta learn how to beat that OSU team.

Nemo,

I dont cheer for just one Michigan team...I cheer for them all...Pistons, lions, Tigers, Wings, MSU, U of M and the rest. I say I'm an MSU fan because it's just easier to go to the games then it is the rest. I'm only 20 miles from the campus and stadium. If I live in Ann Arbor.... U of M all the way!!!!!!

the Lions are the most pathetic franchise in the history of sports

I love the Lions.

There are numerous treatment programs that can help you, Zander. The first step is admitting you have a problem. :pound:

The problem with SRog is the obvious cost of cutting him. The Lions are already $16.6M with dead money against the yearly cap. They can't afford to cut him. Same reason why we could not cut BMW last year. I have a feeling that the clubhouse morale was really bad. Now that's changed. Hopefully it will also do good for Rogers.

A $20 Vegas bet on the Lions should get you about 4 million dollars.

That's like a million dollars for each of their wins this coming season!
