he could smoke some with Randolph too so that they get along well. Artest, Randolph could make the ol' Trailblazers look like a Pyjiama party.

Artest would definitely help Zeke's cause on the court, but him running loose in NYC sounds like headlines waiting to happen.

SG: Crawford

That is a very talented lineup assuming this deal falls through.

Possibly the best starting 5 in the East.

I would say so, but they, the Knicks, never put it together.

I wouldn't bet against talent due to historical precedent.
And if we are going to use history as a marker, the Knicks are usually really good for 2 or 3 years every decade. It's time.

Yup. He always says he represents Queensbridge. Still has an appartment in those projects and can be seen sitting in the court yard just chilling. The guy is crazy.

It is really pretty sad, when you trade for a player because they have an expiring contract. I understand it, but some how it just doesn't seem right. Never happened before the days of the salary cap.

Yep Zack Randolph and Ron Artest playing for the Knicks.
Only Zeke could have the family jewels go put those two together.
The off court activity by the Knicks this year could be more exciting than their on court activity. LOL

He has family and friends who still live in those projects, but he does not still have an apartment there. When he visits, he sits at the courtyard talking, and having fun. Today, Artest could not survive in Queensbridge. He is a millionaire professional basketball player. He probably thinks of himself as "from the hood", but at present he is far removed from Queensbridge. Trust me. He loves visiting and chatting with old friends and such.

I could have swore that after the brawl there was a Dateline NBC story on Artest and he said he had an apartment in the projects. Maybe he just has it to remind him where he came from, but I am 99% sure he said that he an apartment there. You would think alot of professional millionaires and musicians would have common sense to not be hanging around in the hood but many don't and that's why you see so many of them getting in trouble.

Not that I put much creedance into anything MCA says, but the last I heard is he likes Sac'. and wants to play there for the Maloofs.

In New York City in order to qualify to live in the projects you have to meet certain income requirements. He doesn't meet those requirements. For example, a family of four cannot make over $36,000 per year. He knows people, of course, in those projects. He grew up with them and is still very close to his friends and family there. His parents do not live there anymore. I feel it would be too much for Artest to play for the Knicks. It would be a circus.
The Atlantice division is going to be interesting enough without this happening. If the knicks are able to add Artest they will be contenders.
Could the Atlantic Div be the one to beat this year?

Tough divisions make for tough competitors.

In the whole NBA? No way. SW division is the best with the 3 Texas teams.
In the East? I think the Central division is still the best with Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and an improving Bucks team.

Yes in the East. Its going to be close. TOR won 47 games last year and are improving. The Nets are getting Kristic back. The only team to not make the playoffs in that division could be the Sixers.

I think if Zeke waits long enough, he'll be able to land Artest without giving up either Lee or Balkman.
How about Robinson, two 1st rounders and Rose's expiring contract?
